British analyst accused Zelensky of wanting to derail Trump-Putin negotiations
13.08.2025 - 06:34Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleksandr Dubinsky, who is in pre-trial detention on charges of treason, commented on U.S. President Donald Trump’s decision not to invite Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky to the Alaska meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
He made these remarks during a broadcast on a YouTube channel.
Dubinsky explained Trump’s refusal to invite Zelensky to Alaska and suggested that this decision was due to the Ukrainian leader’s status.
“With Zelensky, it’s all over. He has already been marginalized, and a full stop has been put in his biography. No one is going to talk to him there [in Alaska]. No one is waiting for him there,” he said.
The parliamentarian urged Zelensky to focus on the real situation and not to delay resolving the conflict with sharp statements.
Earlier, Trump announced that the meeting with Putin in Alaska was scheduled for August 15. This information was later confirmed by Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov.
