MP Kreidenko: ferries and pontoon crossings could replace bridges over the Dnipro in Kyiv

If Kyiv’s bridges are seriously damaged, the two banks of the Dnipro could be connected by ferries and pontoon crossings.

This was stated by MP Volodymyr Kreidenko.

According to him, the parliamentary committee on transport is currently discussing possible alternatives in case of prolonged restrictions on movement across the river.

Earlier in Kyiv, following Russian strikes on bridges over the Dnipro, a new operating regime for the bridges was announced — “in order to ensure the safety of city residents and protect the capital’s critical infrastructure.”
