27.06.2025 - 08:20Ukraine’s NABU and SAPO are requesting the suspension of Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Chernyshov from his position during an investigation, along with a bail of 120 million UAH (nearly €2.5 million).
This was announced by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU).
“NABU and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) have submitted a motion to the High Anti-Corruption Court to impose a pre-trial restriction on the sitting Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine—who previously served as Minister for Communities and Territories Development—in the form of bail amounting to 120 million UAH (nearly €2.5 million). NABU and SAP also requested the court to suspend the Deputy Prime Minister from his duties,” the statement reads.
The following restrictions are also being requested for Chernyshov:

Appear upon request before investigators, prosecutors, or the court;

Report any change in residence or place of work to the authorities;

Not leave the locality where he resides without permission;

Surrender his international passport(s) for safekeeping to the relevant authorities;

Refrain from communicating with other suspects and witnesses in the case;

Wear an electronic monitoring device.
The court hearing on pre-trial restrictions is scheduled for 9:00 AM today. Chernyshov has already arrived at the court, stating he is in “a great working mood.”
