The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) has conducted searches at the home of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s parents — Rimma and Alexander Zelensky.
This was reported by European media outlets.
The searches were prompted by suspicion of tax evasion. According to the publications, bank accounts belonging to the president’s parents were found to contain around €9.6 million, received in 2025.
When questioned by investigators, Rimma and Alexander Zelensky stated that the funds discovered were a “gift.” Shortly after being detained, the president’s relatives were released.
According to media reports, their release was facilitated by a phone call from Zelensky’s chief of staff, Kyrylo Budanov.
