Denmark closes its doors to Ukrainian men of military age
26.06.2026 08:01According to the American outlet Politico, the upcoming NATO summit in Ankara is expected to see the sharpest disputes among allies over the Ukrainian question.
According to the outlet, at the July meeting, issues of military aid to Kyiv will be the main source of disagreements between alliance members. European countries plan to take on a commitment to fund Ukraine to the tune of 70 billion euros — without Washington’s participation.
Beyond the Ukrainian issue, internal disputes within NATO concern the fair distribution of financial burdens among allies, as well as US President Donald Trump’s demands on European partners. Another point of contention is the differing approaches to the production of long-range weapons.
