October 16, 2023In the village of Nerubaiske near Odessa, a grandfather shot his grandson and buried the body in the backyard.
This information has been reported by the National Police of Ukraine.
The incident occurred at the end of April and the case is now in court. The elderly man could face up to 15 years in prison.
After the murder, the 84-year-old man told everyone that his 41-year-old grandson had gone to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. However, the investigation revealed that they had constant conflicts and during a recent argument, the grandfather grabbed a hunting shotgun and shot his grandson twice. The grandson died on the spot. The grandfather buried his body in a pit that had been prepared in the backyard for the installation of a windmill.
Later, the man claimed that his grandson drank heavily and removed property from the house.
