16.03.2026 05:32A new conflict has occurred between the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU).
NABU’s press service reported the incident on its Facebook page.
NABU claims that SBU officers, subordinated to the agency’s First Deputy Head Oleksandr Poklad, detained one of NABU’s detectives at a checkpoint at the entrance to Sumy. The detective had been sent to the regional center to conduct an investigation.
The SBU, for its part, confirmed that it detained the NABU detective at a checkpoint in Sumy.
“Today, at one of the checkpoints at the entrance to the city of Sumy, a Ukrainian citizen was identified who showed a number of signs warranting additional checks. The man is originally from temporarily occupied territories, did not name his place of work, and to confirm his identity showed only a page from the ‘Diia’ app. During an analysis of his contacts, a number of Russian phone numbers were found,” the SBU said in its statement.
The SBU said this was the reason for an enhanced inspection of the man.
