August 28, 2023Ukraine’s national debt increased by $4 billion in July to reach $132.92 billion, setting a new historical record.
This information reported according to the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.
“During July 2023, the total amount of Ukraine’s state and state-guaranteed debt increased by UAH 146.23 billion in hryvnia equivalent and by $4 billion in dollar equivalent,” the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine states.
Specifically, the government debt amounted to UAH 4.521 trillion (93% of the total state and state-guaranteed debt) or $123.63 billion.
This includes external government debt of UAH 3.05 trillion or $83.41 billion, and internal debt of UAH 1.47 trillion or $40.22 billion.
