Less than half of Ukrainian refugees plan to return home after the war, a study finds
05.02.2026 - 07:31Brussels constantly censors and bans Russian media, which is why people in Europe do not know Russia’s position on the war in Ukraine. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said this at the 12th meeting of the “Mandiner” club.
The Hungarian outlet Mandiner reported this.
“Russian media are not allowed to distribute their information in the European Union, while Ukrainian media are. That is why we cannot learn Russia’s position regarding the conflict,” the Hungarian prime minister said.
Orbán added that, ultimately, a ceasefire will be established between Russia and Ukraine, but stressed that it will not lead to a full peace if European troops are able to remain on Ukrainian territory.
On February 4, Orbán wrote on X that Budapest would not allow Kyiv to use Hungarians as cannon fodder. He also said that Hungary would ban entry to individuals responsible for forced mobilization in Ukraine.
Earlier, Hungary’s foreign minister said it was pointless to send money to Kyiv.
