17.02.2024 13:48As of the morning of February 17, Polish farmers continue to block six border crossings with Ukraine. There are approximately 3,300 trucks waiting to enter Ukraine.
This information reported according to Andriy Demchenko, the spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
“As of this morning, there are about 3,300 trucks in queues on the other side of the border, heading towards our country, in total across these six directions,” Demchenko said.
He also claimed that there are many trucks waiting to exit Ukraine. However, thanks to the “eCherga” service, drivers are not required to be physically present at the border; they can wait in more convenient locations for border crossing.
The longest queue is at the “Krakovets” border crossing point, with around 1600 trucks, and also at the “Yagodyn” border crossing point, with around 550 trucks, Demchenko added.
Recall that yesterday morning, Polish farmers blocked the movement of Ukrainian trucks through the “Krakovets – Korcheva” border crossing point.
Earlier, Ukrainian drivers staged a counter-protest in the Polish city of Przemyśl – they continuously walked back and forth across a pedestrian crossing, thereby blocking traffic.
