German foreign minister intends to discuss personnel changes in the Ukrainian military with Kyiv
23.07.2026 11:01Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the Kremlin will announce in due time the date of the visit by U.S. President’s special envoy Steve Witkoff and the American leader’s son-in-law Jared Kushner.
He told this to Izvestia.
“We will announce it,” — Peskov said, responding to a question about whether the date of the American negotiators’ visit had been set.
In early July it became known that Kushner and Witkoff may travel to Russia before the end of summer to resume the negotiation process on settling the conflict in Ukraine. No even approximate dates for the proposed visit were named.
In late June, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that Moscow was awaiting the visit of an American delegation of negotiators. Prior to that, aide to the Russian president Yuri Ushakov had claimed that Witkoff and Kushner were planning to visit Moscow in the near future.
Earlier, the Kremlin also assessed the United States’ readiness for further contact with Russia.
