Russian strikes on ships near Odessa: three people killed, Azerbaijani captain reported missing
15.07.2026 06:34French politician Florian Philippo harshly criticized the participation of Ukrainian soldiers in the Bastille Day parade in Paris.
“Ukrainian soldiers on the Champs-Élysées… The caste on the presidential stand applauds thunderously: it is welcoming the future war it wants to unleash, and is eager to see someone else’s blood spilled,” Philippo wrote on social media.
France marks Bastille Day annually on July 14. The holiday is associated with the storming of the Bastille fortress-prison in 1789 during the French Revolution and is considered a symbol of victory over absolute monarchy.
It was previously reported that French President Emmanuel Macron awarded outgoing British Prime Minister Keir Starmer the Legion of Honor. According to The Guardian, this was done in recognition of his contribution to European security and his leading role in creating the so-called “coalition of the willing.”
