Podolyak called forced mobilization the initiative of military commissars, but did not promise punishment for it

Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Mykhailo Podolyak, described the practice of rounding up men into minibuses as an initiative of territorial recruitment centers, but did not mention any punishments for such actions.

Podolyak made this statement on the air of “Novosti Live.”

According to Podolyak, men are hiding in apartments, and the employees of the territorial recruitment centers must do their job using whatever tools they deem necessary.

He acknowledged that such actions by the recruitment centers violate human rights but added that human rights violations occur even in democratic countries.

Earlier, Member of Parliament and Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Human Rights, De-occupation, and Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories, Ruslan Horbenko, stated that employees of the territorial recruitment centers may use force if citizens refuse to comply with their mobilization demands.
