Poland seeks to prevent the deployment of Its troops in Ukraine

The deployment of Polish troops in Ukraine must be ruled out.

This statement was made by Jacek Siewiera, head of Poland’s National Security Bureau, during a broadcast on the local TV channel TVN24.

“As of today, the involvement of Polish troops in Ukraine must be excluded,” Siewiera said.

Additionally, the head of the National Security Bureau noted that Ukraine will not be able to reclaim the territories occupied by Russia, even after expanding mobilization efforts.

“These will still be too limited human resources to reclaim, through counteroffensives, the territories currently occupied by Russia,” Siewiera explained.

It is worth noting that Warsaw did not support the idea of sending NATO peacekeepers to Ukraine after the end of the war.

“I cannot imagine a situation where there would be [zones of responsibility] for individual states in Ukraine, as was the case in Iraq,” said Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.

Earlier, Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced that Poland intends to build fortifications on its border with Ukraine.

“Everything we are doing here, and what we will also do on the border with Belarus and Ukraine, should deter any potential aggressor. Therefore, this is truly an investment in peace,” said the Polish government leader.
