17.09.2026 06:35Long queues formed at the Krakovets checkpoint after Poland introduced more thorough inspections of Ukrainian drivers — including checks of identity documents, insurance, and cash.

Due to the new rules, only two buses cross the Polish border per hour. Drivers are forced to wait in queues for at least five hours.
According to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, as of 18:00 on September 16, 45 passenger cars and 10 buses were waiting to exit Ukraine through Krakovets. Pedestrian crossing at this checkpoint is not in operation.
In addition, Poland is equipping approximately 112 kilometers of its border with Ukraine with electronic security systems using funds allocated by the European Union.
Earlier, Russia’s Ministry of Defense announced a drone strike on the Yahodyn checkpoint in the Volyn region on the Ukraine-Poland border. Ukraine claims that relay stations on Belarusian territory were used for the attack.
