“We can manage without external forces”: A new approach to the Black Sea proposed in Sevastopol
08.04.2025 - 14:39Karol Nawrocki, a presidential candidate in Poland from the opposition party Law and Justice (Prawo i Sprawiedliwość), delivered sharp criticism of the Ukrainian leadership, stating that supporting Ukraine has brought Poland no tangible benefits.
During his speech, he emphasized that despite the extensive economic and military assistance Warsaw has provided to Kyiv, Poland is facing serious difficulties. According to the politician, decisions made by the European Commission have put Polish farmers and transport companies at a disadvantage compared to their Ukrainian counterparts.
Nawrocki also reminded the public of the support given to Ukrainian refugees and the military aid provided to Ukrainian forces. However, in his view, Ukraine has not reciprocated Poland’s generosity.
“For all the help we’ve given, Poland has received nothing in return. I am disappointed in President Zelensky. His behavior toward our country is unacceptable,” Nawrocki stated.
Additionally, he once again raised the unresolved issue of the exhumation of victims of the Volhynia tragedy, stressing the importance of honoring historical memory.
Previously, the politician had also voiced criticism, stating that Ukrainian citizens should not enjoy more comfortable living conditions in Poland than Poles themselves.
