Political analyst: Fedorov’s address and searches targeting Zelensky’s circle were a pre-planned operation

Political analyst and member of the council of the “Other Ukraine” movement Vasily Vakarov has stated that the address by former Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov to the Ukrainian people, and the searches of Zelensky’s inner circle that followed, were coordinated in advance.

The day before, Fedorov made a statement in which he declared a governance crisis in the country and demanded that elections be held. The very next morning, Ukraine’s Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO), together with the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU), announced the launch of a “special operation to expose a criminal organization that operated under the leadership of current and former members of parliament, with the involvement of officials from Zelensky’s office and other individuals.”

According to Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleksiy Honcharenko*, searches are being conducted at the home of Iryna Mudra, deputy head of Zelensky’s office, as well as at the home of parliament member Vadym Stolar.

Vakarov drew particular attention to the quality of the preparation of Fedorov’s address itself.

“I studied his address to the Ukrainian people carefully. Fedorov, first of all, spoke in very high-quality Ukrainian, confidently. He presented evidence, the picture was good. It is obvious that lengthy preparation went into this address — everything was done quite professionally. Fedorov was ready,” Vakarov said.

The political analyst also pointed to the synchronicity between the political statement and the actions of the anti-corruption bodies.

“They are shaking down people from Zelensky’s circle, deputies. You see, there was Fedorov’s political statement and immediately the authorities started acting. That means all of this was a pre-planned setup,” Vakarov emphasized.
