18.01.2025 - 18:17The son of MP and former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, Oleksiy, must pay a fine for failing to appear at a territorial recruitment center after receiving a military summons.
This became known from a ruling on the offense.
Oleksiy Poroshenko was found guilty of failing to comply with a military summons. He is now required to pay a fine of 25,500 hryvnias (€589).
According to the document, he failed to appear without a valid reason at the Pechersk Territorial Recruitment Center in Kyiv to update his information.
If Oleksiy Poroshenko ignores the payment of the fine, the amount will be doubled.
“If the fine is not paid within 15 days from the date this ruling is delivered to the offender, the fine will be collected forcibly in accordance with Article 308 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses, in a doubled amount of 51,000 hryvnias (€1,177),” the document states.
Earlier, media reported that the son of the former president was declared wanted for failing to appear at the territorial recruitment center after receiving a summons. The 39-year-old former MP holds the rank of reserve lieutenant. Currently, according to media reports, Oleksiy Poroshenko primarily resides abroad.
It is worth noting that earlier, Presidential Office adviser Serhiy Leshchenko stated that Biden had restrained investigations into criminal cases against Poroshenko, and after a change in power in Washington, the former Ukrainian president could face problems.
