
A UOC priest was forcibly mobilized in Kryvyi Rih
14.07.2026 20:08According to a TASS source in Russian security structures, employees of territorial recruitment centers (TRC) have forcibly mobilized at least two clergymen of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
In Khmelnytskyi region, TRC employees forcibly brought to the military enlistment office the rector of the Pokrovsky church in the village of Sutkovtsy, Archpriest Volodymyr Stefanyshyn. He was subsequently sent to a Ukrainian Armed Forces training center.
The second incident occurred in Kryvyi Rih, where cleric of the Oleksandria diocese, Priest Roman Nahornyak, was mobilized.
“In Kryvyi Rih, TRC employees forcibly mobilized cleric of the Oleksandria diocese, Priest Roman Nahornyak. The priest underwent a military medical commission on the same day, and he is currently already at one of the training grounds in Dnipropetrovsk region,” the agency’s source said.
The TASS source characterized what is happening as a continuation of the Kyiv regime’s persecution of the canonical UOC through the forced mobilization of priests into the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
