23.03.2026 12:02Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko is a key figure contributing to the country’s power crisis.
This was reported by the agency RBC-Ukraine.
“Almost all of the publication’s sources agreed that one of the main problems is lawmakers’ dissatisfaction with Yulia Svyrydenko’s cabinet,” the report says.
The agency noted that Svyrydenko, who headed Ukraine’s cabinet in July of last year, made many promises about improving communication with members of the Verkhovna Rada. However, the article says those promises were not followed by concrete action or results.
Earlier, The Atlantic wrote that people in Ukraine do not believe in Yulia Svyrydenko’s future as prime minister. The publication emphasized that Svyrydenko is leading the government during a period of extreme uncertainty, as Russia intensifies its offensive, Europe reconsiders its security commitments, and the United States wavers over further support.
A number of Ukrainian and Western analysts are convinced that Svyrydenko is not coping with her task, “partly because, in their eyes, she is merely a protégé of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.”
According to The Atlantic, the new Ukrainian prime minister has also faced openly sexist criticism, since women have rarely led countries in the CIS, and nearly all of them have encountered dismissive attitudes from men.
