Several months ago, a criminal case was initiated by the State Bureau of Investigations in connection with procurement transactions involving clothing and lingerie destined for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The companies associated with the Lviv businessman Igor Hrynkevych secured victories in 23 tenders for supplying clothing to the Ministry of Defense, totaling over 35,8 million euros.
In an effort to recover state losses the business assets have been subject to seizure. These encompass real estate, high-end vehicles owned by the businessman’s family and assets and accounts of companies under his control. Experts have determined that Hrynkevych garnered a profit of at least 24 million euros through manipulations involving clothing and products intended for the military. According to journalistic investigations, he has been profiting from tenders for an extended period.
