18.03.2025 12:21Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump may discuss the possibility of a face-to-face meeting during their phone conversation on March 18.
This information reported according to CNN, citing a source in the White House.
“The question of a personal meeting between Trump and Putin (…) is likely to be raised during their conversation,” the network reported.
A White House official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told CNN that the phone call between Putin and Trump is a “natural next step” in negotiations between the two countries.
Earlier, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that the two leaders would discuss U.S.-Russia relations as well as the situation in Ukraine.
The conversation between Putin and Trump is expected to take place between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM Moscow time.
