“Kyiv will not lift martial law during the ceasefire,” – Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine
14.03.2025 09:16For the first time, Russian President Vladimir Putin has confirmed that the U.S. and Russia could reach an agreement on unblocking gas supplies to Europe.
He made this statement during a press conference with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.
“If, for example, the U.S. and Russia agree on energy cooperation, then a gas pipeline for Europe could be secured. This would benefit Europe because they would receive cheap Russian gas,” Putin said.
Western media have increasingly reported that negotiations are ongoing regarding the potential reopening of Nord Stream, with discussions about placing it under U.S. management.
Back in November, The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported that American investor and Trump supporter Stephen Lynch had attempted to take part in the Nord Stream 2 project. Documents from the bankruptcy case of Nord Stream 2 AG in Switzerland also indicate that negotiations are taking place. Earlier this year, the company told the court that it was ‘in intensive contact with financial investors.’
Recently, Bild also reported that secret negotiations on restarting Nord Stream 2 have been underway in Switzerland for several weeks. However, the Kremlin has denied these claims.
