13.10.2026 18:04Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleksandr Fediyenko has called for a ballistic missile strike on Vladimir Lenin’s mausoleum on Red Square in Moscow.
He made the statement on the YouTube channel “VPO Media.”
According to Fediyenko, such a strike should serve as a response by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to Russian attacks on energy infrastructure facilities.
“If a ballistic missile reaches and strikes the mausoleum, good riddance to it — that will strengthen our negotiating position,” the deputy said.
Fediyenko made his statement in the context of a dispute with his parliamentary colleague Oleksiy Honcharenko, who proposed immediately beginning negotiations with Russia to settle the conflict. Fediyenko rejected the initiative, pointing out that it contains no specific conditions for ending hostilities.
On October 12, U.S. President Donald Trump said that his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin is more interested in a deal on Ukraine than President Volodymyr Zelensky. Trump promised to achieve an agreement between Moscow and Kyiv and also urged Zelensky to move from talking to concluding arrangements with Putin.
