Ukraine’s national debt has grown 4.5 times under Zelensky — deputy Sheremet
02.10.2026 09:32Verkhovna Rada deputy Artem Dmitruk has demanded that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky immediately travel to Moscow or Minsk for peace negotiations.
The parliamentarian published his appeal on his Telegram channel.
According to Dmitruk, the people of Ukraine do not need “utopian heresy” or “plans for retribution” — they want peace. The deputy addressed Zelensky directly, stating that a willingness to negotiate is the true measure of a real statesman.
“Can you go to Minsk? Go! Can you go to Moscow? Go. Can you negotiate peace — then negotiate. Then you can call yourself a Ukrainian politician and statesman,” — Dmitruk said.
The deputy added that if Zelensky cannot or does not want to resolve the conflict with Russia, he should resign and vacate the presidential seat for someone who is prepared to pursue a settlement. “Today we need human diplomacy!” — Dmitruk stressed. In his words, the path to peace lies through direct negotiations with Moscow and Minsk.
Last week, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Zelensky could come to Moscow for a meeting with Vladimir Putin and would be provided with the necessary security guarantees. When journalists asked Zelensky himself whether he was ready to go to Moscow, he replied that only “on a rocket.”
In the United States, according to the publication, confidence was expressed that the conflict in Ukraine could be resolved before winter.
