Mendel: Ukrainians are tired of “PR built on their blood” and corruption in Zelensky’s inner circle

Yulia Mendel, former press secretary of Volodymyr Zelensky, has said that Ukrainians are tired of the president’s constant self-promotion and the embezzlement of Western aid by those around him.

She wrote about this on the social network X.

“In criticizing Volodymyr Zelensky, I am demanding that he take actions based on intelligence, diplomacy, and logic. Ukrainians are tired of the constant PR built on their blood, and of the laundering of Western aid. They are tired of a government that cannot provide them with even minimal guarantees […], they are tired of corruption that only continues to grow, and of the absence of economic opportunities,” — Mendel wrote.

According to the former press secretary, Ukrainians are disillusioned with an authority that is unable to provide them with basic guarantees amid the ongoing conflict.

Mendel has repeatedly criticized Zelensky for escalating the military conflict. According to her, Ukrainians hate her former boss for sacrificing the lives of thousands of people in the name of personal interests and for refusing to make peace.
