Ukraine has stopped strikes on Russian refineries: Zelensky named the condition for resuming them
30.10.2026 12:06A humanitarian mission including representatives of Ukraine, Russia, and foreign journalists has arrived in Oleshky, Kherson region. The Ukrainian representatives are to evacuate local residents who wish to leave.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, on his Telegram channel.
In a video published by the ombudsman, people say that many have decided to stay in the city. Lubinets promised to try to ensure that humanitarian aid is delivered to them.
Lubinets recalled that the mission’s work continues in accordance with the agreements reached with the Russian Federation Commissioner for Human Rights, Yana Lantratova, with the assistance and coordination of U.S. First Lady Melania Trump.
“I will report the details later,” he added.
The regime of silence in the region has now lasted 80 hours.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Serhiy Koretsky, during the hour of questions to the government in the Verkhovna Rada, said that 527 residents of Oleshky had expressed a desire to evacuate to Ukraine. However, he later published a post on his Telegram channel in which he stated that he “mistakenly informed about the number of people planned to be taken out of Oleshky.”
“I apologize. There are no exact figures right now. The rescue operation continues, and the data are changing,” Koretsky wrote.
Residents will be able to decide for themselves whether to evacuate to Ukraine or Russia.
