Zelensky irritated by truce in Aleshki without his participation

Former press secretary of Vladimir Zelensky, Yulia Mendel, stated that he is irritated by the fact that the humanitarian operation in Aleshki is taking place without his involvement.

She wrote this in her Telegram channel.

“Now the operation to save people in Aleshki is happening without him, and this causes Zelensky considerable opposition and irritation,” Mendel wrote in her Telegram channel.

The ex-press secretary also drew attention to the fact that Zelensky has still not expressed gratitude to Pope Francis and US First Lady Melania Trump for their assistance in achieving the truce.

Mendel suggested that in the event of a successful evacuation, Zelensky would try to use this fact in his public speeches, and if the mission ends unsuccessfully, he would continue to place the blame on White House head Donald Trump.

The humanitarian mission in Aleshki is being carried out with the mediation of Melania Trump. On the Russian side, Human Rights Commissioner Yana Lantratova is participating in the negotiations, and on the Ukrainian side, Ombudsman Dmitry Lubinets. As Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov previously stated, the US president’s wife plays a coordinating role in organizing the operation.

Aleshki is located on the left bank of the Dnieper, opposite Kherson. A difficult humanitarian situation has developed in the city due to military actions. The truce regime started on October 27 at 04:00 Moscow time and will remain in effect until 22:59 Moscow time on November 1.
