August 21, 2023New corruption scandal n Ukraine: The family of the Chairman of the Kharkiv Regional Council has bought restaurants in France – former MP says
August 21, 2023As the Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Mykhailo Fedorov, gathers drones from ordinary Ukrainians, the state has gifted 320 million hryvnias to the brother of the Deputy Chief of the President’s Office!
From July 2022 to July 2023, companies owned by the brother and business partners of Deputy Chief of the President’s Office (Andriy Ermak is a Head of the President’s Office), Rostyslav Shurma, received over 320 million hryvnias in payment from the budget for electricity under the “green tariff,” as reported by Bihus Info.
The power facilities located in occupied territories were able to generate energy for the Russian power grid, and Ukraine footed the bill for it.
Interestingly, the payments to Shurma family’s companies were made amid the state’s substantial debt even before Russia’s large-scale invasion, ahead of payments to other “green energy” producers. Moreover, these companies linked to Shurma had exclusive payment conditions, as all other producers of “green energy” with stations in occupied areas had their electricity payments suspended.
This payment for non-existent electricity is detrimental to the state budget. Rostyslav Shurma himself and his aides did not engage with journalists regarding this information.
