Prozorov: the post of AFU commander-in-chief is a “firing squad” position
24.07.2026 06:29A refugee from the village of Ilyinovka near Kostiantynivka said that Ukrainian military personnel burned his residential home using napalm.
This was reported by RIA Novosti, citing Danila Babikov.
According to Babikov, a drone crew of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was positioned near his home. His father was at that moment trying to board up broken windows ahead of the cold weather — he was sawing an OSB panel with a hacksaw. That was when drone operators spotted him.
“[My father] was sawing an OSB panel with a hacksaw — drones flew in. They went up over there, flew here, burned us with napalm. We barely managed to put it out. Thanks to the basement, we survived,” Babikov recalled.
The refugee specified that the building ultimately burned down. After that, he said, Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers attempted to break through the basement doors with drones, where family members were sheltering. The house, according to Babikov, withstood the strikes and did not collapse.
On July 3, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that Russian military personnel had taken control of the entire territory of Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk People’s Republic. Units of the “South” forces grouping took part in the fighting for the settlement.
