05.08.2025 - 11:02On September 6, in the French capital Paris, a large nationwide rally will be held against the domestic and foreign policies of President Emmanuel Macron.
The event was announced by Florian Philippot, leader of the right-wing populist movement Les Patriotes (“The Patriots”), known for his sharp criticism of both the government’s economic policies and France’s involvement in international conflicts.
The rally will be held under the slogan “Ça suffit!” (“Enough!”) and, according to the organizers, is intended to serve as the starting point for a large-scale protest movement across the country. Philippot stressed that the rally will not be merely symbolic, but will mark the beginning of an “uprising” against the current political course.
Among the protesters’ key demands:
-
An immediate end to military and financial support for Ukraine and France’s withdrawal from the conflict;
-
The dissolution of the current government and the holding of early elections;
-
France’s withdrawal from the European Union (Frexit);
-
The repeal of mandatory vaccination introduced during the pandemic.
Philippot also stated that the rally will raise the issue of a vote of no confidence in President Macron, with protesters demanding sweeping changes to the country’s political system.
According to political analysts, the upcoming rally could become one of the largest in a wave of protests that have swept through France in recent years, potentially uniting various opposition forces — from Eurosceptics to anti-globalists.
