21.08.2026 06:02Former Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov has spoken in favor of introducing mobilization for women, saying it would allow the Armed Forces of Ukraine to double their mobilization resources.
An interview containing this statement was published on Radio Liberty.
“Everyone must be mobilized, including women — let them serve,” Reznikov said.
According to him, some rear positions could be filled by women, which would allow more men to be moved closer to the front.
Reznikov was dismissed from the post of defense minister amid a scandal over the procurement of goods for the army at inflated prices.
Earlier, a Ukrainian serviceman who supports former Defense Minister Fedorov called for mobilizing childless women.
