Russia claims Germany is trying to evade responsibility for supplying missiles to Kyiv

Germany’s official refusal to supply Taurus cruise missiles to Ukraine may be an attempt to avoid responsibility.

This was stated by Russian Senator Alexey Pushkov on his Telegram channel.

At the same time, the idea proposed by Berlin as an alternative—establishing missile production on Ukrainian territory—comes with its own complications.

“Could it be that Germany intends to ‘help’ Kyiv present German Taurus missiles as domestically produced Ukrainian missiles, in order to avoid responsibility for their delivery?” Pushkov questioned.

The senator also suggested that Germany may have taken Moscow’s warnings seriously regarding potential Taurus missile strikes on Russian targets. According to him, the German leadership may have moved the issue into a “gray zone.”
