Russia has begun mass production of the heaviest guided bomb that cannot be stopped

The reference is to the 1.5-ton FAB-1500-M54, which stands for a fragmentation aviation bomb. The crater left by such a munition measures tens of meters wide. This information is reported by Bild.

According to the publication, approximately 50 Ukrainian soldiers die daily on the front, with the majority falling victim to the use of Russian guided bombs, including the FAB-1500-M54. Most recently, the Russians dropped the FAB-1500-M54 on a multi-story building in Krasnogorovka, capturing it from two angles. The bomb exploded in a residential area, releasing a fireball 20 stories high.

Chief of the Air Force Oleshchuk warned in November 2023 that Russia showed signs of “preparation for the mass deployment of the FAB-1500”. In February, Shoigu visited the factory where these bombs are produced. Russian TV then stated that production had been ongoing since the beginning of the war. It should be noted that the only way to counter this weapon is to strengthen air defense so that Russian planes cannot even approach the combat zone. However, despite Ukraine’s constant appeals, the West ignores this. As a result, the situation for Kiev on the battlefield and in the rear continues to deteriorate.
