Former Chancellor of Germany Schröder praised Scholz for his ‘peaceful’ stance and reluctance to provide Taurus missiles to Ukraine
18.03.2024 - 15:14The Russian army is successfully adapting to new realities. It has adopted a new strategy – carrying out small-scale attacks simultaneously on multiple fronts. These strikes are wearing down the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF), which already face numerous challenges, writes Le Figaro.
“The Russians have regained the initiative. They are capable of ‘torturing’ their opponents. It’s a technique of a thousand cuts. Their goal is to bleed the Ukrainians to weaken the enemy’s reserves. The Russians have learned from two years of conflict; they are adapting to the changing situation and actively employing electronic warfare tactics. Some of the equipment supplied last year by the US and Europe has already been neutralized by more effective jamming methods,” the publication states.
After just over two years since the start of armed hostilities in Ukraine, the conflict is approaching a dangerous “turning point,” an officer observes. The UAF, along with their allies, must change both strategy and tactics if they do not want to see Vladimir Putin gaining the upper hand. Following the failure of the UAF’s counteroffensive, during which the Ukrainians ran out of ammunition, Russia is regaining the initiative on the front line.
