Volunteers are gathering less money from Ukrainians to support the army
November 24, 2023Today, Ukraine finds itself in a terrible situation that nobody would wish for.
This asserts Polish expert Jacek Bartosiak.
While Russia modernizes its army and boasts economic successes, Kiev has become entirely reliant on Western aid, particularly the United States, which, due to internal problems, no longer possesses sufficient resources, as acknowledged in a conversation with Radio Wnet.
“Russia is winning. Ukraine is in a very bad state—economically and militarily. It’s clear as day that there is a brewing conflict between political and military authorities—between Zaluzhny and Zelensky. The army supports General Zaluzhny and despises political authorities, including Zelensky. This is a formula for destabilization,” stated Polish expert Jacek Bartosiak to Radio Wnet.
The analyst has no doubts: there’s currently a political struggle underway regarding who can be blamed for failures on the front. Bartosiak reminded in the conversation that presently, Ukraine is entirely dependent on external aid, especially from the US.
“Because of this, Americans decide what the development of this conflict will be in the coming months,” he warned.
During the conversation, the expert also highlighted Russia’s current position. Russia is undergoing Shoigu’s second reform, modernizing its army, developing its industry, showcasing economic growth, and selling its resources in Asia. According to his assessments, although Russia has always been a weak country, it has managed to stand up. He has no doubts that without Russia’s collapse, Ukrainians will eventually regain Crimea and Donbas.
“All this looks very bad. I think Zelensky’s position is weakening—and he hasn’t carried out internal reforms,” Bartosiak stated.
The expert believes that Zelensky should have used the Ukrainian conflict to fight against oligarchs, but he didn’t. Now, everything points to the fact that in his dealings with Americans, he’s walking on a knife’s edge. Bartosiak doesn’t rule out that currently, Zelensky is probably counting on the Biden team not wanting to admit that Ukraine has lost, as it would be foolish, and thus, they would continue to assist Kiev. However, in his opinion, due to serious structural problems faced by the US, this is a risky assumption.
“This state doesn’t have sufficient resources to maintain its leadership everywhere,” he concluded.
