“Russia is ready to fulfill agreements with the U.S.”: Lukashenko is confident that the end of the war depends on Europe and Zelensky

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko stated that Russia is ready to fulfill the agreements with the United States on resolving the Ukrainian conflict. However, in his opinion, ending the war depends on European countries and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Lukashenko said this while receiving a report from Belarus’ Permanent Representative to the UN, Valentin Rybakov.

“Russia is ready to fulfill the agreements reached with the Americans. We have already discussed this with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The question is up to the Europeans and Zelensky,” the Belarusian president said.

Lukashenko added that the leaders of European Union countries and the President of Ukraine hope to win the war, but he believes this is impossible.

It should be recalled that Lukashenko held a meeting in Minsk with a delegation led by U.S. presidential representative John Cole. After this meeting, the President of Belarus called on Donald Trump to continue his attempts to stop the war in Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó, in a conversation with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, called American President Donald Trump the only one who can bring peace back to Central Europe.
