Moscow threatened Europe with unpredictable consequences amid increased drone supplies to Ukraine
16.04.2026 - 06:04Russia plans to produce more than 7 million FPV drones this year.
This was stated by a representative of Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense during a national telethon broadcast.
The ministry notes that this is 3 million more than the enemy had last year.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine are preparing an appropriate response, assigning to unmanned ground systems tasks that were previously carried out by personnel of combat units, “with production volumes reaching tens of thousands of sets per year.”
The Ministry of Defense says that its preparations for a continued war with Russia are based on three factors:
- the widespread introduction of automation on the battlefield;
- the use of modern technologies;
- reliable partnership from Western allies.
Earlier, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi said that Russia had exceeded its drone production target.
