16.04.2026 - 06:31Moscow has threatened Europe with a “sharp escalation” and “unpredictable consequences” amid increased drone supplies to Ukraine.
Russia’s Defense Ministry says that, according to its information, on March 26 the leadership of several European countries decided to expand the production and supply of UAVs for the needs of the Ukrainian armed forces for strikes on Russia.
This refers to expanded funding for enterprises in Europe, including Ukrainian and joint ventures producing attack drones and components for them.
The ministry believes that such steps are drawing Europe into a war with Russia.
It said that the possible use of such drones for strikes on Russian territory could lead to “unpredictable consequences.”
The Russian Defense Ministry also implied that, in such a case, Russia could strike drone production sites in Europe.
“The European public should not only clearly understand the true causes of the threats to their security, but also know the addresses and locations of the ‘Ukrainian’ and ‘joint’ enterprises producing UAVs and components for Ukraine on the territory of their countries,” the Russian Defense Ministry said.
