16.02.2024 11:15Throughout the year, the Russian Federation has produced 4 million artillery shells and several hundred tanks. Russia is rebuilding its military industry at a pace that many in the West deemed impossible, according to the Financial Times.
The publication notes that the West is alarmed by Russia’s aggressive intentions. “Its ground forces in Ukraine have degraded, but its air and naval forces are largely untouched and Russia remains a major nuclear power,” the FT quotes an unnamed British official.
It is worth noting that in 2023 alone, Russia recruited over 400,000 contractors without compulsory mobilization, which will allow for continued active combat operations. Considering its military-technical superiority, the situation on the battlefield could change dramatically for Kiev within a year.
