Athletes from Russia will be able to compete under their national flag at the 2026 Winter Paralympic Games.
This was reported by the British public broadcaster Sky News.
The outlet notes that Russian citizens have been barred from competing under their own flag since 2014.
The Winter Paralympics will be held in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo from March 6 to March 15. Athletes from Belaruswill also compete under their national flag—for the first time since 2022.
Earlier, a Ukrainian skeleton athlete was disqualified from the Olympics for wearing a helmet featuring photos of colleagues who were killed in Russian strikes.
