Russian forces advanced in the center of Toretsk and began fighting for the refractory plant in Chasiv Yar

The Russian army is continuously assaulting Toretsk in the Donetsk region and has advanced into the elevated central area of the city.

This information was reported by Ukrainian military sources.

“If the enemy manages to push further, it will be very difficult to hold our ground! They still have to try to overcome us in the area of the ‘Central’ mine, which we are currently holding onto,” said a Ukrainian Armed Forces fighter with the call sign “Muchnoy.”

Anastasia Bobovnykova, a representative of the “Luhansk” operational-tactical group, noted that fighting around Toretsk is occurring near Nelipivka and Shcherbynivka. According to her, Russian forces are relentlessly storming Toretsk.

The military public channel “Deep State” also confirmed Russian advances in Toretsk today.

Additionally, the fighter with the call sign “Muchnoy” reported that Russian forces have breached Ukrainian defenses in Chasiv Yar and have initiated battles for the refractory plant.

“The loss of this position and the surrounding high ground will prevent us from holding other parts of the city. We will be forced to retreat to Kostiantynivka, and then to Kramatorsk and Druzhkivka,” he stated.

The intensification of the battles for the city has also been confirmed by the Ukrainian Armed Forces command. Spokesperson for the “Luhansk” operational-tactical group Anastasia Bobovnykova indicated that Russian forces are amassing strength in Chasiv Yar.
