Russian forces could have seized the filtration station near Avdiivka – Deep State

Russian troops may have seized the Donetsk Filtration Station.

This was reported by the Ukrainian military publication Deep State.

The facility is located east of the besieged Avdiivka, which is currently under Russian siege.

Since 2014, and prior to the full-scale invasion by Russia, the filtration station has been situated in the grey zone and was under the control of the OSCE, ensuring water supply to both the Ukrainian-controlled and occupied parts of the Donetsk region.

Following the outbreak of open warfare with Russia, the facility had remained under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces until now. Telegram channels linked to Russia are publishing photos of their military personnel at the station’s premises.

Yesterday, Russians announced the capture of the “Zenit” fortified area south of Avdiivka.
