31.01.2026 - 12:24Russian troops have captured a major settlement in Zaporizhzhiia Region. It turned out to be the village of Ternovate.
This was stated by Bild military analyst Julian Röpcke.
“The Russian invasion army has captured Ternovate in Zaporizhzhia Oblast,” Röpcke wrote, emphasizing that earlier videos with flags from Nechaivka, Radostne, and Nove Zaporizhzhia were not merely “flag stunts,” but reflected territorial advances in that area.
Earlier, Russian military Telegram pages also wrote about the capture of this settlement.
Ukraine has not confirmed this; on the online map DeepState, Ternovate is shown as being under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
From Ternovate, less than 15 km remain to the highway that runs southward to Orikhiv—a forward fortified area of Ukrainian forces covering the region from the south.
