September 24, 2024The Russian army has begun using Chinese armored vehicles in the war in Ukraine.
This was reported by military observer Julian Röpcke of the German tabloid “Bild.”
Photos of Chinese Hushi ZFB-05 armored vehicles have appeared in Russian Z-public channels, and Röpcke confirms their authenticity.
“China denies having supplied this vehicle. However, there are many African intermediaries that Russia could have used,” Röpcke notes.
Earlier, the U.S. State Department mentioned that China supplies Russia not only with dual-use goods but also with specific materials necessary for its army. In return, Beijing, according to Washington, receives secret Russian technologies related to submarines, missiles and aviation, which Moscow previously did not want to share.
As a result, U.S. Ambassador to China Nicholas Burns stated that China “is not neutral and has effectively taken Russia’s side in this war.” According to him, Beijing supplies Moscow with technology and maintains strong trade ties.
Additionally, Bloomberg reported that China and Russia are developing a kamikaze drone modeled after the “Shahed.”
