Zakharova calls von der Leyen an “accomplished liar” over her remarks about Russian gas
02.07.2026 06:04A UAV operator from a mobile fire group of the “Rus” detachment of the Volunteer Corps, with the call sign “Slovo,” told RIA Novosti how Russian units in Donbas have built a system for detecting and destroying unmanned aerial vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the serviceman, coordination has been established between units whereby the territory is divided into separate sectors with clearly defined zones of responsibility. Thanks to this, “Slovo” claims, not a single Ukrainian drone goes undetected.
Visual observation, radio-technical equipment, and radar stations are used to detect aerial targets. According to the operator, this allows units of the “South” troop grouping to receive advance information about approaching Ukrainian drones and determine the direction of their flight.
The serviceman also explained the personal motivation of mobile fire group fighters: he said they seek to prevent drone strikes on Russian regions. The units, he noted, do everything possible to destroy UAVs in the early stages of flight, preventing them from advancing further.
