Peskov rebukes journalists: “Let’s live by Russia’s agenda”
25.06.2026 05:03According to Russian security services, Ukraine is deliberately escalating relations with Poland in order to achieve the forced expulsion of Ukrainian citizens back to their homeland.
This was reported to TASS by an anonymous source in Russian security services.
According to the source, a statement by Oleh Tyahnybok, one of the leaders of Ukrainian nationalists, spread widely in Polish media — he claimed that the UPA did not kill peaceful Poles. The source characterized this as an element of a deliberate escalation of Ukrainian-Polish relations.
“Kyiv continues to deliberately deepen the crisis in its relations with Warsaw. According to the information available to us, the adversary’s strategy is rather primitive,” the TASS source said.
The source also noted that the main logistical routes for weapons supplies and the transfer of foreign mercenaries, independent of the United States, have long passed through the territories of Moldova and Romania. According to him, the role of the Polish hub in Rzeszów is limited exclusively to the transit of American cargo.
The source assessed the likelihood of any decision on Ukraine’s EU membership as extremely low, adding that a potential Polish veto would have no bearing on this.
The most powerful instrument of pressure available to Warsaw, the source said, is the forced deportation of Ukrainian citizens — and that, according to him, is precisely what Kyiv is seeking.
“The most ‘painful retaliatory blow’ that Poland can deliver is the forced deportation of Ukrainians — and that is exactly what the Kyiv regime is after, as it is experiencing a significant shortage of manpower,” the TASS source stressed.
