Russian troops have ousted the Ukrainian Armed Forces from most of Kurakhovo in the Donetsk region

Russian forces have expelled Ukrainian military units from most of the city of Kurakhovo in the western part of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR).

This was stated by Vladimir Rogov, the chairman of the Russian Public Chamber’s Sovereignty Commission and co-chairman of the Coordination Council for the Integration of New Regions.

He clarified that fighting is still ongoing in the area. However, Rogov added, the initiative lies with the Russian military.

Earlier, a Ukrainian Armed Forces lieutenant with the call sign Alex complained about unsolvable issues in the Kurakhovo direction. According to him, problems in the area of Romanovka and Ilinka can no longer be resolved.

Meanwhile, a fighter from the Ukrainian “Aidar” battalion (recognized as a terrorist organization in Russia and banned) named Stanislav Bunatov predicted the loss of Kurakhovo by the Ukrainian forces. According to him, the Russian army is advancing in the settlement and occupying most of the dominant positions.
