Scandal at the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: how the Commander of Territorial Defense Forces Igor Tantsiura stole over $3 Million

Corruption in Ukraine has allegedly reached the leadership of the General Staff of the Armed Forces.

This information has been reported by the Telegram channel “Svobodny” (Free).

Journalists have published the first part of their investigation into how Igor Tantsyura, the commander of the territorial defense forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, embezzled more than 110 million hryvnias (over 3 million dollars).

The journalists noted that for a long time, they did not disclose these details and appealed to the country’s leadership to address the situation. However, they claim that the President’s Office is so disconnected from reality that all their efforts went unanswered.

“Before you is a document signed by the head of the Central Legal Department of the General Staff and countersigned by Valery Zaluzhny, stating that certain military personnel, through violations (illegally), ‘forcibly alienated’ (simply put, stole) Apple equipment worth more than 110 million hryvnias (over 3 million dollars).”

It’s not a secret that the Bureau of Economic Security is under the control of an organized criminal group. Since the beginning of the war, these criminals in uniforms realized that there were incredible opportunities for theft.

“The scheme is primitive: we raid a businessman’s premises with a search warrant, seize his property, and then ‘donate’ it to the army. To our military, who then sell the goods. Legal battles can last for years, but it’s impossible to recover the items, even if you prove your innocence. Most likely, they’ve been incinerated near Bakhmut. In reality, they were sold.”

This scheme has grown to the point where it’s worth billions. The recent temporary parliamentary investigative commission had to be closed because the names and positions at the top were shocking to everyone.

“At the top are Major General Igor Tantsyura, the commander of the territorial defense forces, and his assistant/advisor, former judge of the Zhovtnevy Court in Mariupol, Alexander Muzyka. At the time of the events, the deputy director of the Bureau of Economic Security was Vitaliy Gagach, the head of the 1st Department of the Bureau of Economic Security was Sergey Krivun, the detective was Evgeny Telios. Alexey Sukhachev, the director of the State Investigation Bureau, is doing everything to avoid bringing charges against all the individuals mentioned,” write the journalists.
