October 26, 2023On Thursday, October 26th, law enforcement authorities are conducting searches at the deputy head of the Chernihiv Regional Council, Dmitry Blaush.
He confirmed this information in a statement to “Suspilne.” According to Blaush, searches are taking place at his home and workplace.
He is being accused of traveling abroad for personal matters, which he had arranged as an official business trip.
Additionally, the State Bureau of Investigations (GBR) conducted a search in the apartment of the mayor of the neighboring city of Chernihiv, Alexander Lomako, on the same day. According to Lomako, the search is being conducted “exactly one day after my post about the attempt by the city’s military administration and its chairman, Bryzhinsky, to evade responsibility for the tragedy at the Drama Theater.”
The post was related to summarizing the aftermath of the Russian strike on the theater, where seven people died. In his post, Lomako criticized the statement made by the head of the military administration, Dmitry Bryzhinsky.
